Project of sole member Ggatzshriiegk aka Askesirkel, Vorgfang is a piercing Norwegian wind of an entity, bringing the bitter, mindflaying ice elements from the Northern provinces to reincarnate the 90s. Boxy drums punctuate the steely melodic riffs that shimmer and shred with a metallic chill, finished off with immaculately caustic vocals.
Viser fra ildens enger is Vorgfang’s second album, and a maliciously potent statement of true Norwegian black metal, that straddles the ferocious debut, Askesirkel’s cataclysmic Moonshrine album and third project Altertum which is due to make its debut release soon.
