Veles-Black Hateful Metal LP
Official reissue by Dead Christ Commune on 180-gram black vinyl, housed in a 3mm glossy jacket with insert and two postcard flyers. This edition faithfully reproduces the original No Colours Records CD layout, including the center label design.
Anyone familiar with black metal knows that the early Polish scene developed its own identity, separate from the Scandinavian and Western European bands of the same era. Veles followed that path from the start. Their second album, Black Hateful Metal, remains one of the most extreme statements to come out of the Polish black metal underground. While their debut album stood close to bands like Graveland and Infernum, this second LP pushed the band into far pagan territory. The record is defined by thin, brittle guitar work, fast but controlled drumming, and harsh open-throated vocals that dominate the entire sound. Occasional keyboard passages and eerie interludes appear throughout, adding to the disorienting atmosphere rather than offering relief. Raw but deliberate, Black Hateful Metal stands apart even within the Polish scene. It is a singular recording—an album that captures a moment of total hatred for the modern world that the band never repeated.
