The second offering from Eisenblut solidifies its presence in the lo-fi blackened scene, following the momentum of the prior release, “Shadows of the Storm”. A member of the Mystic Glory Order collective, Eisenblut continues to develop their distinct sound while staying rooted in the genre’s traditional harmonious aggression.
While “Swarming in Decay” still pays homage to acts like Eisenwinter, Rostorchester, and Totale Vernichtung, it is also evident that it veers into new sonic territories. The nods to these influences are more fleeting than before, allowing Eisenblut to craft their own identity. The music pulses with the rawness associated with these acts but frequently breaks into unique melodic progressions that distance it from mere imitation.
