Another mantra-like work, inspired by Norse and Sami shamanism, Possession of the Polar Shaman mixes elements of Neofolk, Neo-Psychedelia, and this time Black Metal, as to convey the aural equivalent to attain enlightenment and become a vessel of transmission of the natural currents that shape and reshape the earth.
The Neofolk and Neo-Psychedelia elements of projects such as Legendary Pink Dots and Current 93 are here combined with an arcane, immense Black Metal sound, inspired by the likes of Arckanum, carried by OWGA's idiosyncratic and ever serpentine, melodious guitar work.
